Re: Bore inspection mirror

Thanks for the update. Glad to hear he is still kicking. I guess mixed him up with another person who had passed. And thanks for the scans, much better. I bought this nickel plated carbine from the Harold's casino auction a few decades ago late in the last century. It was when I was first buying trapdoors, didn't know much (may still not)...

This is the first buffalo I shot and used my 1884 rifle with a pistol grip made by the fellow that used to make...

73 with interesting history

I was in Tillamook Or last week and went to the Tillamook pioneers museum Founded in 1935. This 1873 rifle was in the room housing past sheriffs items. It is in decent condition and complete. The interesting part is the label said it was used by the 1929 sheriff John Chester "Chet" Holden....

Re: Here are some just taken photos of my early model 1868 trapdoor.

Enough of the original sight on rifle 93 was still present to identify it as the updated type with the 9 on a line and the upper notch un numbered. This broken sight was replaced with an original of the same type. 579E7BB9-8B2A-44FA-903E-2EAC44FBAE8C.jpeg The table shows #38 sight as unknown. Here ...
