My old carbine display from the 1980s

Post by Dick Hosmer »

Was doing some computer housekeeping today and ran across this - still have the rack (somewhere!) and all but two of the carbines . . .

ABORTED - any plans to increase the picture allowance?

BINGO!! Graininess is due to having to reduce it so much - pic is crystal-clear on computer.

Pic added to previous post - sorry it is so small - had to have been taken with my old 5MP Olympus - Now I use my 'phone for all photography.

1870, a Ward-Burton, three early '73s, an 1877, two 1879 stars, an 1890, an XC, both slings, several belts (including a RIA exp.), Hazen loops, boot, etc.

Thanks. The rack began life as a store fixture for shoe-polish and leather dressings. I found it amongst the junk when a store went out of business. I added the wood, and a couple of inserts. It sets up in less than five minutes. At the height of my 'show participation period', I had conventional racks and covered three 8' tables, each with a three-foot high back-board. If there is any interest, perhaps I'll post some pictures of that as I come across them.

I, for one, would like to see your pictures when you have a chance.
