[Fred Gaarde]

Gun show bound. If anyone would like to personally see my Model 1868 trapdoor Springfield, serial number 6, I will be taking it with me to the big Missouri Valley antique gun show on the 27th of July. That’s Saturday. I won’t be sitting down behind a table this year with my buddies but will be walking around with it at the show looking to sell it.

I feel that #6 is the nicest 68/68 Fred.
Looking at photo 8 with the fancy N and the ejector spring filler in photo 10 was it an M1866 rifle stock that was used?
If so did Springfield also fill in the center band spring?
