Sight sure looks good to me. The ramp on the carbine sight is a lot flatter than the rifle.
Block JSA over earlier cartouche looks legitimate, but I am not sure why it would be there.
No SRS history on this one, but it is in a cluster of 1899 carbines, but the receiver is marked 1899 so no doubt about it being a real carbine.
