Trapdoor Rifles

If you go to Al’s original website, there are quite a few “recipes” showing some black powder, and smokeless loads that have proven successful.
As a matter of fact, it was just yesterday, I fired my 1888 RRB with 33 grs. #4198, a 3 grain polyester OP wad, and Lyman’s #457191 300 grain soft lead bullet.
I’ve also used the “cadet/carbine” load of 405 grain bullet and 55 grains 2F for very good results.
