This rifle was produced in 1892 as confirmed by the serial number and the
SWP/1892 cartouche. The butt stock is stamped 34th SEP CO. The stamping indicates
It was issued to the 34th SEP CO. for the Sp-Am War.
SEP Companies moved from regiment to regiment as they were needed during the war.
The rifle has a pristine bore, strong color case
on the block and tang as well as a stock with very few dings. The stock has
not been sanded or refinished. The cartouche and the firing proof are clearly seen.
The condition of
the metal is excellent with very strong blue. The stock has a burl wood pattern on the butt area.
