WD40 is not a good lubricant (my opinion) if that's all you have then it will work. I use fine oils for the actions which seem to work. I just treated the stock in Snake Oil before finding out it's an original which works out well. Snake Oil is used by C Sharps on there Fine Rifles and what I use on...

Like I said in some parts of the world LOL.

Yep this one I'll take out on old gun day which is coming up pretty soon. We go to the range with old tech including replicas no glocks etc.

Could be considered proper in some parts of the world.
If only they could talk in some cases that's a lot of popcorn. I have a model 92 Winchester that would be pretty much a mini series LOL.
It has some character to it might make a good reenacting gun.

It is your rifle, but if it were mine, I would be very reluctant to shoot it often, if ever, for fear of adding dents, dings scratches. Rifles in that mint unissued condition are very hard to find, and each time one like that becomes less minty, it enhances the value of those left as much as it deg...

Trapdoor carbine

Here is the other one my dad gave me. It did not have a front sight nor was there any indication that it ever had one. I had one dove tailed in. It appears to have been buffed or polished at some point most markings are almost gone. Possibly a re barrel.
