I'm Looking for a Metcalfe cartridge block. Does anyone know where I might find an available one? Thanks for any assistance anyone might have!

Have you tried Ken McPheeters? How about "The Old Ammo Guy" (can't remember his name). Not going to be easy - I had a hard time finding mine about 35 years ago. Another thought would be to make your own - the dimensions are available. There are enough photos of the labels so you could make a pretty good copy. Assume you have the rifle & bar? What is serial - one of the handful of known ones, or a modern re-assembly (as is mine). I'd guess that 95% of Metcalfes in collections are funky to some degree . . .

Dick,

I have two that we have previously discussed. both have serial numbers that are in the 45K range (IIRC) which is below the 65K range that is the accepted range for metcalfe conversions. I have two blocks as well. One is an empty original and one is a mint, unopened block with a carrier. I'm just looking for a second empty block to put on my other rile, which is hanging in it's case, so I don't damage the unopened block.
