Looks like a decent one. No mention of the interior packing pieces, so assume they are missing. Detailed drawings are in the "Descriptiona nd RUles for Management..." manual. Good markings on the end, and it has the cover.

Currently at $80.00 which is a screaming good deal. Closes tomorrow 12 Jan.

Hammer price closed at $250, plus buyers premium of 18.5%, 3.5% if you use a card, and 1% if you bid on the RIA platform (more if you use Proxi-bid or simiiar).

So figure final cost to the buyer is about $307.50 plus shipping, probably another $100-200.

Still a nice crate. Everyone should have at least one....

Would be nice to have one but I have no place to put it.
For what RIA charges for premiums you'd think they would have had more than one photo?? I've noticed that their listings are posting very few photos lately.

I lucked into one at a fair price years ago, no top, and no guts - but those can made (and I did) using OM22. Most if not all, were full length with an extra pair of slots for use with cadets. Mine is stamped for 1895 altered cadets - and - since I have one of them it's a neat combination!

The mention of dual slots is interesting. I don't recall hearing about those before in the context of infantry/cadet dual purpose crates.

I have an earlier crate for M1855-1866 length arms with dual slots for use with M1868-1888 length rifles. No stencil visible.

Being somewhat obsessed with crates, I also have one for M1842 muskets (with label from Bannerman shipping it to Wisconsin), a .58 musket crate ("marked N.J." so likely from Bannerman), one for 10 Krags, one for M1884 trapdoors, and a trapdoor carbine crate I got fro Al Frasca.

Unfortunately, they are not full.
