Time to (actually) pull the plug?
Never thought I'd say this (but, honestly I got kinda burned out rush-copying posts late at night in fear of closure at any hour) but the old site is having something of a resurgence in traffic - maybe it's time to go dark, or, are we waiting until the pointer change? In any event, I'll keep responding to the queries and trying to herd them here. This new home seems to be working out great! Thank you John.

Re: Time to (actually) pull the plug?
Dick , Can you pull the plug? I have seen posters asking why they cannot get a reply from a company on line and the response is they have been out of business for years yet there is the website still on line. One example is the Ballard rifle company they started out in Cody Wyoming and were bought out and moved to Michigan. The new owner lost interest and folded the company yet the site lasted for several years.
Either the hosting company was paid long term or just did not notice it on their server for some time.
Could a permanent link to here be added to the old site so the bulletin board auto shifts to here

Re: Time to (actually) pull the plug?
The entire old Trapdoor site is here with the only difference being the greatly improved forum.
But, the new site is running from a different name (URL).
We need to do some behind the scenes geek magic to make the old site go away, and have the new site show up under the old name.
After that is done, we will work on some minor incremental updates and improvements to the rest of the content from the old site.
Again, MANY THANKS to Al Frasca and his webmaster who set up and maintained this important asset for so many years.

Re: Time to (actually) pull the plug?
Sure am happy with the new capabilities! When you say "the old Trapdoor site is here" (less forum of course) does that mean there is a current way to access things like the production data, Trapdoor News, etc. or will that come later as part of the grand geek switcheroo??
