No, nobody died!
This auction has no sale price, but instead says "Passed." I know that means it didn't sell, but does it mean there were no bids at all or the bids did not meet the reserve? Or something else?
And by the way, it's popped up for sale again . The pictures in the new listing are mediocre, so it's nice to see these quality pictures from not too long ago. Should have the pistol grip.

Re: What does "Passed" mean
I came across this from Proxibid. Looks like "Passed" could cover most any reason an item didn't sell.

During or after an event, some items/lots may be marked as "Passed" rather than "Sold". This means that the seller made a decision to skip over the item during the event.
Below are some examples of why a lot may be marked as "Passed":
The lot wasn’t on-site at the time of the event, making the item unavailable for sale.
The description of the item changed since the catalog was posted.
The appropriate paperwork for an item requiring specific documentation was incomplete or unavailable at the time of sale.
The seller chose not to sell the item for the current asking price.
Some items need to have the approval of the consignor prior to being officially sold (pending sold confirmation).

I use Liveauctioneers more than any of the other aggregator sites. I believe this is the item:
https://www.liveauctioneers.com/item/13 ... l-trapdoor
Looks like the opening bid was set at $8000 and it does not appear to have attracted any bids at that point.
