There isn’t enough rim on the shell to catch the extractor, so the company sent rubber o rings to do just that and seal the breech and tighten up the head space on my .58 Remington Rolling Block.
I wonder if those O rings would work on 58 rim fire?? At times, if I don't tilt my rifle to the right when ejecting the case the ejector jumps in front of the case. Possibly a thin O ring may prevent that but would it cause any issues when closing the breech?
May have to test one.

Yes, I had to crimp my .58 Centerfire cases to retain the 575 Miniball.
I believe I will get one of those .590 molds too.
Thank you!
Fred, here are the catalogue numbers for the molds from Accurate.
58-500P and 58-500A.
The 58-500A is the mold I had made from the photo in the video posted above.
It took about 4 or 6 weeks once ordered to receive the mold. I purchased the aluminum mold but you can get ones made from steel or I think brass?
Carl, the exact size o ring that came with the brass cases will work just fine in your 1865.
I’ll identify them as to size when I take one to the hardware store.
I’ve got to go there to get some of a larger size for our double barrel 8 gauge too.
