In another post John noted he wanted to add the newsletters, not sure if you want to do them on the board or in a separate tab on the front page.
I have the entire newsletter on disc I can send you, it has Pete's index as well.
It is not a searchable pdf

I am fortunate enough to have the entire set in binders, but it would be great to have it online, searchable or not. I'd think a separate tab would be the way to go. Perhaps Pete's complete indices (wish he'd made it all one, but God bless him for his effort!!!!) as one file, then each volume as an individual file, so that one would not have to scroll through the whole thing to find what they wanted. Just my $.02, YMMV.

If a non-retracting firing pin was a problem why was the spring eliminated? Ken

The sharp shoulder on the pin was a stress point, causing the pin itself to fracture. The spring could rust, break, and jam, leading to slam-fire discharges. Adding complicated parts was really a non-starter - a simpler fix was needed. The problem was finally solved, in 1888, by changing the by then smoothly-contoured pin to a bronze alloy - which could not rust in the block. Voila! No more trouble.

Dick, would you happen to know if the bronze firing pins from the later models will fit in the earlier M1873 high arch blocks?
