Five very early 1868’s

Of the approximately 150 1868/1868’s assembled, there were 9 with single digit serial numbers, 90 with double digit serial numbers and there were 51 rifles with 3 digit serial numbers.

No, I’ve never fired any of them. I haven’t fired a trapdoor for 45 years.

I guess that list that I made IS up-to-date; I know the one in the old "Trapdoor News" segment is short a couple. I'll have to fix it for that section of the new board. After a rough beginning with your aunt (we must go back together 30 years on this story!) you have become THE undisputed king of the 1868 world! An absolutely wonderful assemblage!

I’ll be letting whoever the new owner will be hold that title when I sell all five of my 1868’s together later this year. It was sure fun finding them all!
Your rifle Number 62 is in the best condition of any 1868 located so far. A beautiful rifle!
