Must be Bannerman, or their ilk. No spoon cut on any legit .45-70 stock. Cadet barrels WERE 29-5/8", not "about" that, another possible sign - though we do NOT have a good handle on the proper serial range for early cadets. Apparently your replacement stock is for a full rifle, so will have to be reworked. Don't know of any cadet repros, so your other choice would be to find an original - likely not easy.

Thank you for your insight. I had read that the cadet barrel was 29.6” long so using a tape measure my about measurement is .025” tolerance.
These barrel bands don’t match the diameter of the barrel well so I’d agree it’s a parts gun. There is a faint cartouche on the stock which must mean it was a military stock at one point. This old rifle has been a educational tool for me and the owner will have a nice mantle piece in the end.
