Buy Sell Trade carbine/Rifle butt plate

Looking for a butt plate for an 1888 RB with the oval opening. At the moment my rifle has a standard butt plate that I’m looking to replace. Kinda hard to put the tools in the compartment without a door

Thanks arttodd3, I seen that one but the inside looks like it's rather crusty. I doubt the door would even operate.

I think I saw at least two. I did not look at them in detail but the one further down the listings looked decent, at least from a first glance. For some reason it seems an awful lot of these rifles spent a lot of time in basements, propped against a wall and collected a lot of moisture around the butt plates. I have a very nice model 1880 that is in fine condition except for the butt plate, Unfortunately, the screws are frozen in the stock.

For some reason that butt plate is listed twice, I also thought there were 2 but it's a double listing.
I also have an excellent 1880 and fortunately the butt plate is in fine condition.

Found another on eBay this morning, much nicer and with both short and long screw.

That is the second one I was referring to I think. It was farther down in the listings.
