From the late Peter DeRose's magnificent collection, it will be up for auction by Amoskeag, I believe in March. Amoskeag had it at the Las Vegas show.

The sale will also include several of the pre-1903 experimentals (1900, 1901, 1902. Along with a lot of REALLY great Smith & Wessons. Pete DeRose was good friends with the late Burt Kellerstedt who had probably the finest private collection of Springfield Armory arms. (one time at Baltimore, Burt had FIVE TD Officers models on display!

That brings back old memories. Wonderful piece! I had the pleasure, many years ago, of handling "L" at some length when it was in the collection of Bob Hill, Al Frasca's co-author. Bob was one of my mentors - we were years apart both in age and collecting level, but he seemed to have taken a liking to me, and we had some great gun-show conversations... Also visited him several times at his home in Carson City after he left La-La-land.
