Just wondering what is the largest cast bullet diameter you have found you need for your 45-70?

limpingj, .462 is about all you can load into a case and get it to chamber. If you have a bore with deeper grooves try casting at 30-1 and it should obturate with 57-60 grains of 2FG black powder if with smokeless loads you will have trouble.
