Are you using a vibrating tumbler for bp cases? I've been using one for over 20 years and now I'm being told that I need a rotary wet cleaner. They seem like a real chore to use, separating the media from the cases, etc. What say, ye?

Guess I’m old fashioned . .
When at the range, as soon as I fire a case, it comes out of the chamber and gets dumped into a can of warm soapy water.

When I get home, the water and cases get dumped into the bathroom sink, the cases are soaked with warm clean soapy water, then each case is scrubbed with a perculator brush while submerged, then rinsed again in clean warm water.
Cases spread out in the sunshine . . . .when dry, dead primers removed and pockets cleaned, ready for next loading.

Brass is only now looking “off-color”, but I’ve been shooting these same cases for YEARS!

I use the Thumler Tumbler with ceramic media . I find its no problem to use once you have your routine set up. Less trouble than getting the cased out of the shaker type with corn cob or other media in them
There is a post here about case separation one cause is to have dirty case necks that retard bullet release on firing.
I did use a Lyman orange pumpkin shaker but now just put a face on it and set it on the porch on Halloween.

Cheap white rice does well in vibrating cleaners as well. The rice will become gray as dirt accumulates into the pores of the grains.
Picking medium out of the primer pockets as a chore no matter what. Just part of the process.
