Probably !st Lt. John J. Dixon of Company C, 14th New York. His date of rank was March 29, 1878. His residence was 301 Navy Street, Brooklyn, NY.
Data from Annual Report of the Adjutant General of New York 1881. Will send copy when i get a chance.
Did not find out much of anything else about him but did not spend too much time on it.
