I have heard of people using .50 Alaskan brass to make 50-70. I purchased some to make some rounds for my metric Rolling Block. I used my Lyman 50-70 dies on it. The rim is somewhat smaller.

S&S Firearms do list parts for the Miller Conversion. You might take a chance on this block and be able to free the firing pin.

Lodgewood has a bunch of parts too. They also have the ejector stud.

I see one that should work on S&S Firearms. From 1868-1888, I think they are all the same.

Parts are out there, mostly on eBay. Model 1868 and 1870 parts will work. Breech blocks dated 1868, 1869 and 1870 will work. Locks are fairly easy to find, just need to have the correct hammer. Locks are usually dated 1863, 1864 and rarely 1865. S&S Firearms have parts too. It's going to be an e...
