The issue service medals are marked sterling on the reverse.Private non service produced may be either.

Interesting discussion on the marksman medals. I will split this thread out into a separate one when I get a chance.

Good idea john always interesting to me when on line forum topic drifts off subject. Some pretty quick and others take a while.
