The barrel has a very light patina on it, should I clean it or leave it be?
Being “the barrel has a very light patina on it,” I vote to let it be.
I was going to leave the patina but the bayonet would not fit. There was what looked to be rust around the front sight which was preventing the bayonet from fitting properly.
Once I got it to fit properly the patina was scratched up so I ended up cleaning the whole rifle.
Here it is now.
