Forgotten Weapons- Shooting a trapdoor

Post by John S. »

Ian McCollum has a fun video introducing shooting a trapdoor, intended for general audiences. It is the first of several which will compare vaious black powder cartridge rifles.
There is a bit of confusion over rifle and carbine cartridge specifics, but overall a good introduction to most people on what is to them "a forgotten weapon" even though folks here have never forgotten them.
Check it out at:

There is a second part on reloading for the trapdoor which YouTube will not allow, so it is on a subsciiber only platform- link is on the site.

They never did show the hits on the target. Some seemed to go well over it.

I thought it was a really enjoyable video, particularly liked watching their efforts to get seven shots off quickly. Looking forward to the rest in the series.
