Here's a couple of things you don't see every day.
First, a paperweight from the offices at SA. The story is that they were made using the bronze from captured Confederate cannon, but who really knows? It is about 5" in diameter, and 2" tall/thick including wood base, backed with old green felt - no markings of any kind.

Second, three lead barrel plugs from a 1906 Fencing Musket. These brought the weight of the shortened and lightened 'trapdoor' up to that of the 1903 rifles for which they were to stand in during bayonet practice. I fell into about 20 such guns, in horrible condition, over 50 years ago. Most still had the lead plugs - I saved the best pieces, which clearly show rifling marks. Looking at their ends, the lead was apparently wire cut into chunks, NOT poured in, so I assume the rifling marks are from being banged around.
