I suppose that crack in the receiver would not bother them. Must have been quite a load to swell the barrel and put that split in the receiver. At least it has defined rifling? What light shines thru the hole?
To save the trouble of going to the GB listing- here is a photo from the description. If you look closely, it looks like there is a vertical crack going down behind the hinge pin on this (left) side, and a photo of the right side sure looks like there is a vertical crack extending down below the hinge area there too.
